Ластівка
«ЛАСТІВКА» — це тріо молодих співачок: Надя Коханська, Доня Боровець та Ким Воробець, котрі витворили молодий дух і красу української пісні. В цій першій їхній платівці вони схопили чар традиційних пісень і водночас пов’язують новість сучасної ритмічної інтерпретації. Настроєва ліричність «Сивої зозуленьки» як і весела байдужність «Гуцулочки» віддзеркалюють підставові елементи української пісні. Вони віддзеркалюють історію, культуру та психіку народу.
Надя Коханська і Доня Боровець знані вже нам з попередніх виступів тріо «Калина». Ким Воробець — це новий і приємний додаток до «ЛАСТІВКИ».
Чотири пісні на цій платівці є композиції торонтського композитора Зеновія Лавришина, який також зоркестрував усі пісні та диригував під час звукозаписування. У виданню багато праці і таланту вложили Василь Рудий та Славко Григорський.
У своїм першім зусиллю, «ОРІАНА» з приємністю представляє Вам цю групу молодих людей, які спричиняються в розвитку нашої української пісні. В майбутньому, «ОРІАНА» плянує дальшу працю в пошуку нових талантів та їх використування для всіх українців, де б вони не знаходилися.
Lastivka
The Ukrainian folk song has worked itself into the hearts of folk buffs the world over in recent years. Not only does it charm with its range of moods and rhythms, but it is a musical expression of the history, culture and soul of a nation.
Here, for the first time, Oriana Records presents to you a trio of young singers who have captured, in their own unique manner, the spirit of the Ukrainian folk song. They combine the traditional with the modern; the nostalgia of the past with the exuberance of the present. The mood varies from the reflective sadness of «The Grey Nightingale» to the light flirtatiousness of «The Hutzul Girl.»
«Lastiwka,» or «Swallow,» is a new group. Two of the members, Nadia Kochanska and Donna Borowec, have already gained recognition in the trio «Kalyna.» Kim Worobec, a delightful newcomer, completes the new trio.
The conductor, Zenoby Lawryshyn, is a man of many talents. Not only did he provide the orchestral arrangements for the album, but composed four of the songs.
Invaluable in his contribution was Bill Rudy, who did three vocal arrangements and, together with Slavko Hryhorsky, was indispensable in the production of the record.
It pleases Oriana Records to introduce to you this group of people who brought a new and youthful vitality to the Ukrainian song.
