THE BANDURA is a very unique instrument, indigenous only to the Ukraine. In the long history of Ukrainian folklore the Bandura has a sacred place. For centuries the wandering bandurists played these evocative 55 stringed instruments as they sang the stories of the Ukrainian people. In the free world, among Ukrainian circles, the Bandura is quite popular with many players and ensembles in Canada, U.S.A., Europe, South America and Australia.
